New Jersey
July 2008
We have been talking for quite some time about making the trip to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden New Jersey so what better day than a super hot one in July. To hot for anything out doors but no problem for an air conditioned car and aquarium so we programmed the GPS and did what it said to do. For this trip we decided to travel light and just pack our "Point & Shoot" cameras instead of all the DSLR gear. A little limiting perhaps but a whole lot easier on our old bodies.
The trip took a little over an hour and we got there just after opening on a Saturday morning. As luck would have it we ran into someone from work (Mike D.) who was in the area with his family. Small world.
The aquarium was quite nice and worth the price of admission. We expected aquariums with all manner of under sea creatures on display but were genuinely surprised to see land animals. I guess they were "land" animals but lived near and in water. In any event, there was a lot to see and we went through at a leisurely pace taking 4+ hours to get through.

We noticed an ENORMOUS traffic tie up going the other way so we decided to head north in New Jersey and cut over into Pennsylvania further out of the city. Our intention was to visit an IKEA for a Swedish Meatball Dinner. No problem, just plug the address into the GPS and go. It took us awhile to realize that we had the wrong address and didn't know where we were going. Technology is useless if you don't tell it the correct place to go.... joe 8-)
