July 2011
It's been HOT lately so we stayed in our air conditioned abode biding our time as we waited for that break in the weather. The weather called for max temperatures in the low 80's with sunny skies and light breezes so we were off to Longwood. Our neighbor, Gene, tagged along with us. Gene is jumping back into photography and wanted to get some spot lessons from us. Our passion for the topic spills over to whoever happens to be around with a question.
Lunches were made and packed in my backpack with one of those frozen blue things so I went light and carried my Nikon P7000 P&S and my infrared modified Nikon Coolpix 5400 P&S. Kathy was packing her Nikon D60 with the Sigma 70-300mm lens she really likes for taking flower pictures. We both had our tripods along and stopped for tripod passes. I also geotagged our images using a Sony GPS-CS3KA.
