National Air & Space Museum

Steven F. Udvar - Hazy Center

July 2007

This was a truly special adventure for me.  It started with me looking through the local bus company ads for one day bus trips I could take to celebrate the passing of yet another decade.  I came across this one and immediately thought of our youngest son Dave.  We're both into digital cameras, he is into airplanes, and we have never gone off on a father/son adventure together.  He was available so tickets were purchased and off we went.  Everything about flight was on display.  Everything from early attempts at it to the space shuttle and satellites.  There was a lot of history sitting in the museum starting with the "Enola Gay".  Personally I learned a lot from Dave who pointed out things I didn't know about or would not have noticed.  Thanks for going on this one with me Dave.  This is NOT to be missed if you have any interest at all in the subject.  Here are some of the pictures we took in the museum.
